Harvest Meadows Apartments contains 8 buildings each with 8 units for a total of 64 units. We are located between West Dekora Street (Highway 33) and West Hillcrest Road, which is on the west side of Saukville and is across the street from the Humane Society. Interstate 43 is only 3 minutes to the east.
All of our units feature one or two bedrooms and one bathroom. The one-bedroom units are 675 SF, and the two bedroom units are 850 SF. Each unit has a large, walk-in pantry in the kitchen and an in-unit storage area. The building was built in 1991 and is newer than most other buildings in the area, so we have the nicest building in town!
All units are carpeted and have wall mounted air conditioners and dishwashers. Coin operated laundry is located on each level of the building, so you do not have to carry laundry up and down stairs. We do not have washer/dryer hookups in the units. The units are not considered to be handicap accessible.
Each unit comes with two off-street parking spaces in our building parking lot. We do not have garages.
Our units are very affordable at only $565 per month for one bedrooms and $640 per unit for two bedrooms. The landlord pays for water/sewer, and trash pickup. The buildings feature efficient electric heat which is paid for by the tenant. Each room has a separate thermostat allowing efficient use of heating, and the 6 inch walls are well insulated. The tenant pays for electricity only. There is no gas service in the building.
The minimum lease term is 12 months, and the lease is month-to-month after the first year. We do not accept leases shorter than 12 months. Security deposit is one months rent. Cats are allowed, but we do not allow pets of any other type. We follow HUD guidelines that state that no more than 2 people can occupy a bedroom.
We require that applicants have a good credit history, a good criminal background check, and a steady source of income to pay the rent. We will do a thorough background check on all applicants. We find that most applicants appreciate this as they want to have good neighbors as well.
Rental to Full-Time Students: We require that all applicants meet our minimum income and credit requirements. We do not consider income from student loans to be a steady source of income. Therefore, we have found that full-time college students rarely meet our screening criteria.
We do not take co-signers.
